This AI System Creates & Uploads ASMR Videos While You Sleep

ASMR videos dominate Instagram, TikTok and YouTube with millions of views. So I wondered: can I build an AI system that creates and uploads these videos automatically, without me lifting a finger?

The answer is yes. Here is how I did it using AI, n8n automation and a few smart integrations.

The problem and the idea

  • ASMR content is everywhere.
  • Making it by hand takes time: recording, editing and posting.
  • So I automated everything, from idea generation to posting on social media.

How the AI video automation works (3 steps)

Step 1: Idea generation

  • An AI model (GPT via OpenRouter) picks a unique fruit object, for example a "Glass Apple".
  • The workflow checks Google Sheets so the same object is never used twice.

Step 2: Video generation with Veo 3

The AI writes a hyper-detailed prompt for Google Veo 3. A shortened example:

Subject: A hyper-detailed glass apple resting on a dark walnut cutting board. Setting: Cinematic, photorealistic lighting with soft shadows. Action: A large steel knife slices through the glass apple in smooth, ASMR-perfect cuts. Sound: Four-layer audio: sharp knife tap, smooth slice, wooden thud, gentle clink.

The video is generated through the Fal AI → Veo 3 API. Cost: about $6 per 8-second video with audio.

Step 3: Posting to social media

The system uploads the finished video to:

  • YouTube Shorts
  • Instagram Reels
  • TikTok

Captions are generated by AI as well.

Things to know before you run it

  • Cost: Veo 3 charges about $0.75 per second with audio, so an 8-second video costs about $6.
  • Trigger: manual, but it can be scheduled.
  • Reach: ASMR videos often hit millions of views.

Build it yourself

  1. Download the n8n workflow JSON.
  2. Import it into n8n (self-hosted or cloud).
  3. Add your credentials:
    • Fal AI API key (for Veo 3)
    • OpenRouter API key
    • Blotato API key (for social posting)
    • Google Sheets (for tracking used objects)

This is just the beginning. The same pattern can automate entire content creation systems for a brand, not only ASMR videos.
